Fleming Island Elementary Families,

Welcome to Fleming Island Elementary School, home of the Stingrays! It is an honor to be the Principal of a school in which the hard-working students, teachers, staff members, and parents have accomplished so much. I am excited to be a part of such a wonderful school community that embraces learning and is dedicated to student success!

At Fleming Island Elementary, our vision is to be a supportive and inclusive environment which engages and inspires students by promoting a growth mindset and belief that all students are capable of learning. We want our students to be problem solvers who utilize critical thinking skills to make a greater impact on the world.

We are proud to be a Cambridge Primary school and focus on the learner attributes of Responsible, Innovation, Engaging, Responsible, and Confident. Cambridge Primary is a natural supplement to the rigorous, relevant and competitive educational experience we seek to provide in Clay County District Schools. All students in K-6 participate in the Cambridge program.

We take great pride in holding our children to high academic and behavior standards so that they can reach their utmost potential. Our teachers and staff work diligently every day to ensure that each child learns. When our students leave Fleming Island Elementary, we know that they will be well prepared to succeed in junior high school and beyond. Our goal is that our students are independent, lifelong learners!

What makes Fleming Island Elementary School unique? Community support, family involvement, and our large number of before/after school clubs make this school special. It is our daily work to provide a safe learning environment that is centered on our students, directed on our teachers, and supported by our homes and community.

We encourage you to partner with us as it takes all teachers, staff members, families, community members, and business partners to ensure that our children experience success. You can help your child by working with him/her at home, volunteering at the school, and/or serving on the PFA or SAC.

I am excited about the present as well as what the future holds for FIE!

Assistant Principal and Title IX Coordinator, Julie Dover

Welcome to Fleming Island Elementary School!

I am happy to introduce myself as the assistant principal of Fleming Island Elementary School. My passion for education and the success of all students has been shaped over the years growing up in a family of educators and also serving in multiple roles within the schools such as teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. In each role, I have sought to ensure the success of each student and school by providing the best educational opportunities and support possible. Similarly, it is my number one priority at Fleming Island Elementary that every student is held to high expectations academically and behaviorally and receives a well-rounded, positive, and safe education.

At Fleming Island Elementary, our vision is to be a supportive and inclusive environment which engages and inspires students by promoting a growth mindset and belief that all students are capable of learning. We want our students to be problem solvers who utilize critical thinking skills to make a greater impact on the world.

Fleming Island Elementary School is proud to say that we are a Cambridge Primary school and focus on the learner attributes of Responsible, Innovative, Engaging, Responsible, and Confident. Cambridge Primary is a natural supplement to the rigorous, relevant and competitive educational experience we seek to provide in Clay County District Schools. All students in K-6 participate in the Cambridge program.

Community and family partnerships are fundamental to the success of our school. Fleming Island Elementary is proud to partner with local business and organizations as well as families in the community. We appreciate the support we receive, daily, from all partners!

We encourage you to partner with us as it takes a village to ensure that our children experience success. You can help your child by working with him/her at home, volunteering at the school, and/or serving on the Parent Faculty Association or School Advisory Committee.

Thank you for trusting your child in our care and partnering with faculty/staff members to prepare children for success. I look forward to the year ahead!
