Fleming Island Elementary School  supports our military connected students and families.

Our Military and Family Life Counselor, (MFLC) is Mrs. Darby Palmer. Mrs. Palmer has been a military spouse for 25 years and a licensed counselor for over 20 years.

The MFLC program is designed to provide additional support to our military connected students by addressing the unique lifestyle of military families.

Benefits to our students include easing transitions, meeting other military children who share similar circumstances, learning coping skills, and support through deployments and moving.   Activities include Lunch Bunch groups, Yellow Ribbon Ceremonies for deployments, and Deployment Groups.
